BREAKING: Sheriff Joe, Now Pardoned By Trump, Expresses Serious Interest In Challenging Liberal GOP Senator Jeff Flake

Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s mission is and always was enforcement of existing immigration laws. Those who agree with his efforts to enforce the laws are largely supportive of the pardon President Trump rightfully delivered Arpaio’s way last Friday. Those who aren’t willing to see immigration laws enforced and the borders secured are strongly opposed to the pardon.

Senator Jeff Flake, in response to the pardon, said “regarding the Arpaio pardon, I would have preferred that the President honor the judicial process and let it take its course.” Never mind that the “process” amounted to nothing short of revenge against Sheriff Joe by an angry open borders Obama administration. Flake feels Arpaio’s efforts to enforce the laws and the witch hunt that followed is all justified. And he’s in no hurry to defend Trump or his fellow Republican Arizonan Arpaio.

While Flakes words may help him in the big money elite donor circles he and John McCain thrive in, they may hurt him with the base and grassroots activist circles in 2018. Especially if Sheriff Joe is serious about what he said earlier this morning.

“I’m sure getting a lot of people around the state asking me” to challenge Flake, said Arpaio, who served 24 years as sheriff before losing reelection in 2016. “All I’m saying is the door is open and we’ll see what happens. I’ve got support. I know what support I have.”

Arpaio is a fundraising machine, a national figure and a border security hawk. And, unlike Flake, he’s loyal to President Trump, loyalty that has proven through the pardon to go both ways.

If Sheriff Joe were to get into the race would you support him? Let us know in the comments below.
