One of the core goals of Grassfire is and has always been helping liberty minded Americans connect with one another. This has been a powerful political weapon for us as a company. Our total subscribed membership is nearly 1.5 million Americans spread across all 50 states.
Because of the sheer scale of our membership, when we launch a national petition we’re able to get tens of thousands of signers. This sends a message to the person or persons being petitioned that simply cannot be ignored.
Grassfire.com as a new social network will place tremendous focus on helping movement minded members connect locally. At least, helping everyone connect at the state level initially (we may drill this down further in the future). To accomplish this we’ve imported all the old state groups from the previous network (Patriot Action Network) and are working on rebuilding them from the ground up.
The Grassfire Texas Group provides a good glimpse of what’s to come in the state groups. While many of the groups are not yet rebuilt, Texas and a few others are beginning to take shape and show what can be accomplished with the groups here on Grassfire.com.
Each group will eventually have a group leader and moderators. Each group has a welcome/about page, its own forum in the community discussion forums and its own activity feed. The group activity feed ties into the global activity feed as well. So anything posted to a group’s activity feed will show in the global activity feed. Alternatively, when posting in the main activity feed you can also select a group to tag that status update to. This helps categories your status updates for better conversation tracking/targeting.
We’re on the hunt for state group leaders and moderators, so if you’re interested in helping us build your state network/group, contact Eric Odom via PM and let’s talk!
